    My name is John Trunk, and I am the founder of 1 Eleven Construction Group. My journey as a general contractor began when the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a layoff from my career as a union journeyman carpenter. What started as a side hobby quickly transformed into a fulfilling business, fueled by my passion for construction and a referral for a light home renovation. With over 15 years of professional experience, I specialize in residential renovations and additions, including kitchens, bathrooms, and basements, as well as commercial retail renovations and buildouts.


    My background as a journeyman carpenter and my training in construction management have equipped me with the skills to deliver quality workmanship. Integrity, reliability, and clear communication are at the core of my values, ensuring that my clients are informed and confident throughout the entire process. One of my proudest achievements was completing a contract for the buildout of a 12,000 sq. ft. commercial retail center, coordinating the needs of four different vendors and bringing their visions to life.


    Having spent my career in the trades, I understand the importance of patience, hard work, and trusting the process—principles I carry into every project. I strive to foster a healthy contractor-client relationship, making myself available to address concerns and ensure satisfaction at every step. My goal is not just to meet expectations but to exceed them, which is why many of my new clients come through recommendations from satisfied customers.
